how the math works
Total cost = (people × hourly rate) × elapsed seconds, where hourly rate
assumes a fully-loaded cost of salary × 1.4 / 1880 hrs/year.
That 1.4 multiplier is rough opex (super, payroll tax, equipment, real estate).
Industry uses 1.25–1.4; we picked the high end because the point is to *feel*
the cost, not optimise to the dollar.
