forge
Pick a tool. Hammer the space bar in steady rhythm. Off-beat strikes cool the ingot; on-beat strikes keep it molten. Shape twenty good blows and the metal takes form.

how the rhythm works
- each space hit is a hammer blow on the ingot
- your interval variance scores rhythm — steady = high
- on-beat hits add heat; off-beat hits cool the metal
- the ingot must stay above 30% heat at the 20th blow to forge
- aim for ~400ms between strikes (about 150 bpm — a walking heartbeat)
